Opportunity description

Stanton House is currently recruiting for a FP&A Senior Analyst to join an Energy Business in London on a 12-month Contract paying £450 - £550 per day Inside of IR35 (depending on experience). This role offers a hybrid working model with 2 working in their London office.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate month-end closing processes and ensure timely delivery of accurate financial reports.
  • Manage the production of Monthly Financial KPI reporting packs for Senior Leadership.
  • Monitor and update the monthly register of key financial Risks and Opportunities for Senior Leadership.
  • Oversee reporting on Strategic and Corporate Objectives in collaboration with Business Leaders.
  • Supervise monthly reporting of Cost Efficiencies, ensuring accuracy.
  • Assist in Commercial Finance forecast activities for customer Charging Statements, Indicative Budgets, annual business plans, and Business's long-term plan.
  • Provide support for ad-hoc reports and projects to Finance Business Partners and Head of FP&A.
  • Drive continuous improvements to reporting systems, financial processes, and business analysis.
  • Collaborate with FP&A Manager, Head of FP&A, Finance Business Partners, and the wider business to implement changes.
  • Fulfil other ad hoc requirements as necessary.

To be suitable for this role you must have the following:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA).
  • Background in commercial finance with strong Excel skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and analytical problem-solving.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to review documentation and provide constructive feedback.
  • Skilled in engaging non-financial stakeholders and building effective relationships.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with SAP and report development, including Power BI.
  • Experience in a Programme/Project environment.
  • Exposure to energy, government, technology, or telecommunications sectors, adept in complex, matrix environments.
  • Proficiency in designing, building, and managing financial models.
  • Capability to analyse and optimise processes, driving transformation and automation where needed.
