A market-leading Professional Services company is looking for a talented and hands-on Data Migration Specialist to support the People Data Lead to deliver a new HR system upgrade.
You will be responsible for identifying data requirements for the new HR system SAP HCM SuccessFactors and ensuring that accurate data is loaded into the solution for go-live. This involves working closely with business teams in drawing up a data migration plan of action.
This is a great assignment for anybody who wants to play a key part in executing the digital transformation strategy.
To successfully deliver this high-profile transformation programme you will need to have:
- Considerable experience delivering data migration configuration, master, reference and transactional data for HR systems, ideally SAP HCM SuccessFactors, involving migration of data, ideally within a professional services organisation
- Extensive data analysis and migration experience including the identification of data that will be required for the new solution and how this can be extracted from the legacy system, cleansing and validating system from the legacy system, creating data where this does not exist in the legacy system and completing all phases of data loads (test, mock conversion and cutover)
- Experience in consulting with business stakeholders on data requirements and functional processes
- Strong experience with MS Excel and relevant data migration tools, specifically LSMW or similar legacy system data migration tools
- An understanding of business processes and how data supports these
- Knowledge of HR processes and associated data
- A strong grasp of GDPR regulation
- Experience of gathering requirements from various stakeholders to ensure fit, work on operational aspects of workstreams such as system interfaces/integration, security model, implementation and automation functionalities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills both in written and Oral English.
A little more information about the role - you will be responsible for:
- Assuming ownership of the design, development and testing of data transformation from legacy systems such as PeopleSoft and Taleo into a new solution
- Detailing the end-to-end data migration plan of action in collaboration with business teams
- In partnership with the People Data Lead, consult with business teams on requirements
- Document transformation processes and business requirements
- Report on progress during the course of the transformation project using a status dashboard
- Work with the business teams to cleanse and validate data prior to the loading to the new system to ensure that the data meet the technical requirements, and are compliant with business rules
- Load data into the new system and validate this
- Perform data reconciliation and report data loading results as part of data audits
- Provide assistance in correcting any erroneous data
- Document the status of uploaded data
- Document errors, issues and resolutions during the data loading in the standard issue log
This role is a 12 month FTC, working remotely during Covid however if normal working resumes, must be able to travel into central London.
