Financial Accountant needed for an international Technology business located in Berkshire!

£45,000 - £55,000 + incredible benefits

A newly created opportunity has arisen for a financial accountant to join a rapidly evolving and dynamic organisation. This role will be based in the financial reporting team which is a small team of qualified accountants led by the Financial Reporting Manager who reports into the FD. The team sit alongside and work closely with the commercial finance team. The financial reporting team are ultimately responsible for the accurate and reliable reporting of the Company numbers, from designing processes to producing the financial statements.

To successfully deliver in this high-profile position, you will need to have:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified from a top tier firm (ideally big 4)
  • Experience working with IFRS and investigating technical questions
  • A drive to succeed and progress
  • Professional and proactive approach
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • A "get up and go" attitude and be willing to get out there and investigate
  • The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, from sales level up to Director level.

A little more information about the role:

  • You will be expected to be involved in preparing the financial statements and monthly accounts and will be a key contact for our external advisors.
  • Forecasting and budgeting will play a key part of this role, working with the wider business to understand how it is growing and the implications on the Company numbers.
  • Taking ownership of the more technical accounting areas
  • Ensuring the business is prepared for the year end audit and being a key contact for the auditors
  • Working with the wider business (Sales/Purchasing/Credit Control/Accounts Payable/Credit assessment) to ensure processes are correct and being applied appropriately
  • Budgeting and forecasting of individual sales contracts and cost lines
  • Liaising with our external Auditor and Tax advisor throughout the year
  • Learning about the business and how it is growing and evolving to assess the impact on the Company numbers
