Group Financial Accountant required for our client, a high growth energy business based in Watford (15 mins from Central London.) who are owned and invested by an international investment bank.
PLEASE NOTE, SPONSORSHIP CAN BE OFFERED TO CA / CPA QUALIFIED ACCOUNTANTS WHO CURRENTLY HOLD A TIER 5 / TIER 2.
This is a hugely exciting opportunity for an ACA / CA Qualified Accountant with around 2-5 years PQE with Group and / or Financial Services experience, looking for their next challenge, within a hugely innovative and growing business. Audit Mangers / Senior Managers straight from Practice will be considered if they have experience of FS Audit, specifically.
On a daily / monthly basis you will be responsible for the posting and reconciliation monthly management and statutory figures as reported to the parent company and will act as a contact point for the shareholders who have queries regarding the Group performance. You will also be responsible for:
Skill include:
- ACA / CA / ACCA qualified, with circa 2-5 years PQE
- Group / Consolidation experience is preferred
- Experience of managing senior stakeholders
- Banking & finance or energy industries is preferable.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, responsibilities of the Group Financial Accountant will include:
- Responsible for management and development of two direct reports;
- Balance sheet and P&L month end reconciliation/substantiation for the group on the parent accounting systems;
- Leading the regulatory reporting and funding requirements of the group including planning and management of ECAM, regulatory capital and other funding balances;
- Supporting the Legal Entity Controller responsibilities including dividend process, managing intercompany balances, other adhoc queries and information requests from parent company
- Supporting the company rationalisation project;
- Responsible for the intercompany simplification project to reduce intercompany relationships and implement and automatic settlement process;
- Responsible for managing the monthly intercompany reconciliation and settling balances according to policy;
- Supporting ad hoc M&A opportunities, creating valuation models, and producing due diligence support;
- Focus on personal development through training, constant learning within the role and increase in business knowledge;
