Opportunity description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and highly skilled Group Financial Controller to join a dynamic FinTech business in London.

As the Group Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of statutory accounts across the organisation. You will also collaborate closely with local statutory controllers and auditors to uphold the highest standards of statutory reporting, along with, making sure that processes across the division are efficient and applied consistently.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a global environment and have the ability to make change through influencing.

To successfully deliver in the profile position, you will need to have:

  • ACA or ACCA Qualified accountant
  • Previous experience of working in a multinational reporting environment
  • Up-to-date knowledge of international accounting standards, industry best practices, and financial systems
  • Have prior exposure to consolidation, multi-currency transactions and intercompany positions
  • Proven track record of implementing operational excellence and continuous improvement practices
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Have a flexible approach and ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

A little more information about the role:

  • Collaborate with local statutory controllers to meet accounting deadlines and provide them with technical guidance on the preparation of local statutory accounting
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the local statutory controllers and the group finance team
  • Establish and maintain an effective control environment to ensure accurate financial data and metrics for the division, aligning with policies
  • Ensure that processes supporting the production and reporting of financial figures are efficient, consistent, and adhere to best practices
  • Collaborate with Group finance, External Auditors, and Business Process Outsourcer suppliers to foster strong relationships and ensure financial information meets required standards
  • Identify inefficiencies and inconsistencies, and implement process enhancements to streamline financial workflows
  • Support of various ad-hoc projects
