An exciting 9-month long opportunity as a Group Statutory Consolidation Accountant has recently become available in a large organisation.
As the Group Statutory Consolidation Accountant, your responsibilities will be:
- The timely production of consolidated statutory accounts (IFRS/FRS101) with reconciliations suitable for audit and IFRS/FRS101 reporting requirements.
- Supporting the efficient delivery of consolidated annual accounts. This will entail:
- The retrieval of relevant information from around 40 branches/ subsidiaries to enable to accurate preparation of accounts.
- Correcting any issues related to incorrect data in a timely manner having communicated with the Finance Manager.
- Managing the consolidated statutory reporting model.
- Communicating effectively with internal stakeholders, obtaining all relevant information pertaining to the accurate completion of statutory accounts.
- Communicating effectively with external auditors, under direction from the European Reporting Section Manager.
- Preparation and delivery of training and testing sessions for the consolidated statutory accounts and year end workbooks.
- Assisting execution of new consolidated statutory accounting process including the use of third-party vendors.
To be successful for this assignment, you will possess a university degree and ideally be fully ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified. It is also essential that you have:
- Experience of Group Financial Statutory Accounting.
- Experience of group audit.
- Experience of IFRS & FRS101 accountancy.
- Experience of group consolidation & foreign exchange accounting.
- A proactive and naturally curious approach to work, and the ability to work within demanding time constraints.
- Fantastic MS EXCEL skills.
- Consolidation system experience (E.G. BOFC).
- Fantastic written and verbal English skills.
