Stanton House is currently recruiting for a skilled Head Finance Business Partner to join a passionate not-for-profit Business based in London.
Location: London (one day per week in office)
Job Type: FTC - 6 months +
Salary: £68,000 - £70,000 (depending on experience)
Start date: Beginning of November
Responsibilities:
- Manage a self-sufficient team, including a Senior Financial Analyst, Business Partner, and Finance Partnering Officer. As well as mentoring a junior business partner.
- Partner with specific teams (to be determined) to maximise income, identify cost savings, and achieve targets.
- Oversee organisational budgeting and re-forecasting, streamlining processes, and supporting budget holders to meet deadlines.
- Lead the production of financial performance reports for the Executive Team and Board of Trustees, collaborating with the Head of Financial Control and your team to understand budget variances.
- Maintain an early warning system to notify senior management and budget holders of potential overspending and sensitive financial data.
- Responsible for organisational KPI reporting aligned with the strategic plan, working with the Strategy Team and operational leads to define appropriate measures.
- Play a key role in assessing new ventures, partnerships, and business cases for financial viability and providing technical advice.
- Prepare reports and analyses for various stakeholders, including Trustees, Senior Management, budget holders, etc.
- Stay updated on external trends and best practices to drive innovation.
- Effectively communicate financial analysis and reports to stakeholders using appropriate tools.
- Embody and promote the organisation's shared values, behaviours, and inclusive practices in all aspects of your work.
To be suitable for this role you must have the following:
- Accredited by ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent internationally.
- Robust business acumen.
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools like Power BI.
- Knowledge of accounting standards relevant to charities (e.g., FRS 102/Charities SORP).
- Charity/non for profit experience desirable but not essential.
