A market-leading Financial Services Organisation is looking for a talented and hands-on Project Manager to deliver an application upgrade within their Data Warehouse to the Microsoft Azure Data Platform, ensuring data is migrated successfully and operational processes are in place.
This is a great assignment for anybody who wants to play a key part in executing the digital transformation strategy.
To successfully deliver this high-profile digital transformation programme you will need to have:
- Considerable experience, as Project Manager, successfully delivering at least one Data Warehouse project previously, preferably in the Cloud and/or using Microsoft technology. This will be across ideally the financial services or a professional services sector.
- A proven track record developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, resource plans and budget. Also identifying risks, issues, dependencies and resolution management.
- Experience of driving change management activities to embed new ways of working with the global template.
- Proven ability engaging with all levels of stakeholders across business, technology, operations and vendors to support the execution of data cleansing and migration projects and implementation of the Cloud solution.
A little more information about the role - you will:
- Play a key role as part of a project team working to tight timescales as they look to deliver Casework, Finance and HR data into the EDW so it can be reported on using Power BI.
- Be working with a supplier to ensure that the project to deliver the EDW in the Cloud is done within budget, on time, and provide the level of quality required technically and for the business.
- Be involved in all parts of the project from tendering for the supplier to develop the solution all the way to ensuring that the solution can be supported post implementation by a supplier chosen through a further tender process.
- Ensure that all the required documentation for the project is produced, maintained and delivered to a high standard.
- Have excellent written and verbal skills as you will need to work with and explain to an external supplier, IT colleagues, internal customers and Microsoft.
