Job Title - IT Technical Analyst
Reports Into - Technical Lead/PM
Length - 12 months
IR35 - Inside (Umbrella)
Job Summary
Interpret technical requirements to ensure that they are translated into an agreed solution.
Wide ranging analysis and project support role embedded within a migration team who have responsibilities for migrating bank applications/services to datacentre and cloud platforms.
In this job, I am accountable for:
- Supporting key decisions and articulating project scope to stakeholders to help shape and drive the project forward
- Consulting with the business to elicit and analyse requirements on change initiatives across the bank
- Influencing and communicating effectively with key stakeholders to produce analysis and design deliverables
- Collaborating with our internal and external stakeholders and suppliers to identify, evaluate and recommend business and technology solutions.
- Ensuring business requirements translate into an agreed delivery solution
- Providing advice and guidance to support the solution design
- Problem solving and triaging project defects and production incidents
- Supporting innovation and continuous improvement initiatives that will positively improve how the change function works
- Supporting my colleagues, showing initiative and sharing knowledge and experience.
- Managing key risks which impact my work and my business area, ensuring my manager and key stakeholders are aware of any risks, or potential risks
- Identifying, implementing or suggesting changes that improve service to customer and treat customers fairly

Providing project managers with accurate information on progress and costs
Providing project impact assessments to define costs for my work
Operational skills relevant for this job:
Proven track record of providing analysis and consultancy on technical driven projects using different methodologies e.g. Agile and Waterfall
The ability to work individually as well as in a team
The ability to manage and prioritise your own workload is essential
Confident decision maker with proven experience of communicating and influencing with key stakeholders
Experience relevant for this job:
Essential
Running analysis workshops and documenting requirements
Experience of working on projects with multiple internal and external stakeholders and suppliers
Experience of working in financial services
Strong ServiceNow experience with good understanding of the Change Management Database (CMDB)
Strong excel, discovery and mapping experience
Desirable
Exposure to Public Cloud (e.g. AWS)
Migration and Data Centre exposure
Experience in VMware
