Role Overview:
Stanton House is recruiting a Interim Financial Consultant (CFO Support) to lead the vendor due diligence process for the sale of a private equity portfolio business, for a 6 month period initially. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, transaction advisory, and private equity, with a focus on executing due diligence projects in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. This role involves providing comprehensive financial insights to support the seller, ensuring a smooth transaction process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Due Diligence Leadership: Lead the vendor due diligence process, ensuring a thorough assessment of the portfolio company’s financial health, operational performance, and risk factors.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis, including historical financial performance, profitability trends, working capital requirements, cash flow analysis, and financial forecasts.
- Data Collection & Management: Coordinate the collection of relevant financial data and documentation from the portfolio company, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Valuation Support: Assist in the preparation of valuation models and provide inputs for determining the appropriate sale price based on financial data and market conditions.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between the private equity firm, portfolio company, and external advisors, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the due diligence process.
- Report Preparation: Prepare comprehensive vendor due diligence reports, summarizing key financial findings, risks, and opportunities for potential buyers.
- Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure all due diligence activities comply with relevant regulatory standards and industry best practices.
To be successful in this role you must be a qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA and CIMA) and in addition to this:
- You must have demonstrable experience of running a Vendor Due Diligence process previously.
- You must have a proficiency in financial modeling, exceptional analytical skills, valuation techniques, and financial statement analysis. Strong Excel and financial software skills.
- You must have a deep understanding of private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and vendor due diligence processes.
- You must have a proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines.
- You must have the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
