Venture Finance Director

Finance Director (Number 1)

c£110,000 + 20% Bonus + Equity

VC backed B2B SaaS Scale-up

4 days a week in the office, London based

 

Stanton House is working exclusively with a Growth Fund to source a Finance Director to lead financial strategy and control in their B2B SaaS port co.

 

This role involves overseeing financial planning and analysis, managing working capital, and ensuring robust financial controls are in place. You will provide key insights and guidance to the executive team, contributing to the overall business strategy. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a proven business partner to senior leadership, and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to deliver accurate and timely financial insights.
  • Drive proactive management of revenue and sales pipelines to support growth.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to the leadership team on pricing, profitability, and growth opportunities.
  • Present regular updates to the Board on financial performance, market trends, and investment opportunities.
  • Oversee financial control systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory and shareholder requirements.
  • Deliver accurate and timely financial reports, including management accounts, financial statements, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for stakeholders.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to provide insights that enhance business performance and highlight areas for improvement.
  • Manage and optimize working capital and treasury functions, including cash flow, accounts receivable, and payable, to maintain liquidity.
  • Develop strategies for effective treasury management, including maintaining strong relationships with lenders.
  • Identify, monitor, and mitigate financial risks through rigorous risk management practices.

  • Qualified accountant with 7+ years of post-qualification experience.
  • Proven experience leading a finance function, with sector experience in consumer lending preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated success as a business partner to executive teams in high-growth companies.
  • Expertise in identifying business opportunities, analysing the competitive landscape, and developing financial models that align with business strategy.
  • Track record of driving business growth and adaptability in entrepreneurial environments.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to act as a strategic advisor to the senior leadership team.
