Role: Head of FP&A Contract Type: Permanent Location: Manchester or London – Hybrid (3 days per week in the office) Salary: £75k - £90k Job Number: 32959
Stanton House is partnering with a high-growth, PE-backed buy-and-build business on the appointment of a Head of FP&A at a genuinely exciting point in its growth journey.
The business has completed a number of acquisitions in recent months and is continuing to scale, creating an increasingly complex and dynamic environment.
This is not a role where you'll simply inherit an established FP&A function, you'll have the opportunity to build it.
As the group continues to grow both organically and through acquisition, you'll play a key role in developing the financial insight, modelling and performance infrastructure needed to support the next phase of the business.
Why this role?
High-growth & acquisitive environment – play a key role in supporting M&A and integration.
PE exposure – significant interaction with the senior leadership team and investors.
Build & shape – professionalise FP&A, improve reporting and develop the processes and systems needed to support a growing group.
Commercial influence – go beyond reporting numbers and provide insight and challenge that directly informs decision-making.
Strategic exposure – support acquisitions, investment decisions, scenario planning and value-creation initiatives.
Visible impact – help shape how the business understands performance and makes decisions as it scales.
What we're looking for
A qualified accountant with 5+ years' experience across FP&A, commercial finance or a related discipline, with strong financial modelling, forecasting and business partnering experience.
Experience within a PE-backed, high-growth or acquisitive environment would be highly advantageous, alongside exposure to M&A, integration and Board/investor reporting.
Experience with a professional services environment
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is commercial, analytical and hands-on — someone who enjoys working in a changing environment and wants to build something rather than maintain the status quo.
If you're an experienced FP&A professional looking for genuine ownership, senior-level exposure and the opportunity to make a tangible impact within a growing PE-backed business, I'd be keen to speak.
If you're a commercially focused Head of FP&A who enjoys variety, influence and getting close to the business, we'd love to hear from you.
