Stanton House is exclusively retained to appoint a Finance Director for a growing manufacturing business in Gloucestershire. This is a high-profile leadership opportunity within a larger listed group, supporting a business that is undergoing significant transformation, professionalisation and growth.

The organisation has successfully scaled over recent years and is continuing its evolution from a more entrepreneurial environment into a highly commercial, performance-driven business. This role offers the opportunity to join a newly established leadership team and play a pivotal role in shaping future growth, performance and finance capability.

💼 The Role:
Reporting operationally to the Managing Director and working closely with divisional and group finance leadership, you will take full responsibility for the finance function whilst acting as a key strategic partner to the wider leadership team.

Key responsibilities include:
• Leading end-to-end financial management across P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and working capital
• Driving commercial performance, profitability and decision support across the business
• Partnering with the Senior Leadership Team to support growth, operational improvements and strategic initiatives
• Developing forecasting, budgeting and financial planning processes
• Building stronger commercial business partnering capability across the organisation
• Supporting the continued integration of the business into a larger group environment
• Strengthening governance, controls, compliance and financial discipline
• Leading and developing an established finance team whilst enhancing capability and performance
• Supporting growth initiatives, productivity improvements and strategic projects
• Working across a matrix structure, influencing stakeholders at business unit, divisional and group level

This is an opportunity for a hands-on experienced Finance Director who enjoys operating in an evolving environment and driving meaningful business change.

🎯 What We're Looking For:
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Proven track record operating successfully as a Finance Director within a similarly sized business
• Experience working within a group environment with strong governance and compliance requirements
• Strong commercial acumen alongside robust financial control expertise
• Experience driving business performance, forecasting, cash management and working capital improvements
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate effectively within a matrix environment
• Experience supporting transformation, integration or business maturity programmes
• Manufacturing, engineering, assembly or FMCG experience beneficial but not essential
• Exposure to lean methodologies, operational productivity or continuous improvement would be advantageous
• A pragmatic and resilient leadership style, with the ability to thrive through ambiguity and change
