Interim Operating Model & Organisational Change Lead
Initial assignment: Approximately nine months
Start: ASAP; up to one month’s notice considered
Rate: £1000-£1100
We are working with a growing, PE-backed Professional Services business seeking an experienced interim to design and implement a new organisational model across its advice and operations teams.
This is a hands-on delivery role. The business has a clear direction for growth; it now needs someone who can work with senior leaders to understand the current structure, make practical decisions about the future model and lead the changes through to implementation.
The assignment
Translate a new client proposition and segmentation into a workable model for adviser portfolios, including the allocation of clients between different service propositions.
Assess approximately 50 adviser portfolios and identify the capacity, role and people implications of the proposed changes.
Design a regional leadership structure for the advice business and a supporting operations model, including team leadership and centres of excellence.
Build a sequenced implementation plan covering decisions, dependencies, communications and HR activity.
Work closely with the COO and functional leaders to resolve issues and embed the new structures in day-to-day operations.
The business wants the changes delivered and operating by the end of June 2027, with the first phase of implementation potentially beginning much sooner.
About you
You will have personally designed and implemented organisational or target operating model changes involving teams, roles and reporting lines. You can get into the detail, work through imperfect information with leaders and turn decisions into a clear plan that people can execute.
You will bring strong stakeholder and change management skills, including experience of sensitive people changes and communications. Financial services experience would be useful, but demonstrable delivery matters more than sector knowledge. Experience in a growing, multi-site or service-led organisation would be particularly relevant.
There is potential for the assignment to develop into a longer-term role as the business’s wider change programme progresses.
