Stanton House is recruiting for a Financial Controller to join a PE-backed Technology Business in London. This role offering £65,000 - £70,000 per annum + bonus and benefits. This role is mainly remote with some travel to their London offices (once a week).
This role is ideal for a qualified Financial Controller who has held a similar position within an SME environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly accounting, journal entries, variance analysis, and reconciliations across trading and holding entities
- Maintain 13-week cashflow forecasts and consolidate entities using Excel
- Update revenue tracker and post deferred/accrued revenue
- Maintain fixed asset register and assist with financial MI and forecasting
- Support annual budgeting, including full financial statement modelling
- Process monthly payroll, bonuses, commissions, and handle HMRC submissions etc
- Manage pension contributions and quarterly VAT returns
- Lead year-end audit and liaise with auditors
- Coordinate with tax advisers on corporate tax filings and payments
- Submit monthly reports via private equity platform
- Support AP/AR processes
- Support the CFO with ad hoc finance tasks as required
To be suitable for this role you must have the following:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- 5+ years' experience, including 3+ years post-qualification.
- Proficient in Sage.
- Advanced Excel skills, including complex spreadsheet functions.
- Confident running payroll and pension contributions
- Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Highly accurate, organised, and able to meet tight deadlines
- Quick-thinking, numerate, and able to prioritise effectively
- Proactive self-starter who takes ownership and delivers high standards
- Adaptable and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
