Responsibilities
- Assess and document data sources, flows, provenance, ownership, and interfaces.
- Analyse data structures, formats, refresh frequencies, and overall suitability for business use cases.
- Evaluate data quality and identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Investigate commercial, operational, or regulatory barriers to accessing and using data.
- Support the design of operational reporting and dashboard solutions by defining data requirements.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and gather, challenge, and refine business and data requirements.
- Work directly with clients as a trusted advisor, providing recommendations and industry best practice guidance.
- Produce high-quality documentation, including requirements, assessments, data mappings, and recommendations.
- Provide informed input on the data and AI tooling landscape while remaining tool agnostic during the discovery and design stages.
- Support multiple concurrent client engagements as part of a broader consulting team.
- Strong understanding of data landscapes, data sourcing, data lineage, data provenance, and data quality assessment.
- Ability to translate business needs into clear data and reporting requirements.
- Strong consulting, business analysis, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven banking and payments sector experience (essential).
- Comfortable working with data and discussing data architectures and tooling without being hands-on in implementation.
- Knowledge of modern data, analytics, and reporting platforms.
- Strong AI and AI-tooling literacy with the ability to apply AI effectively in consulting and analysis activities.
- Ability to work independently in client-facing environments and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
