We believe it is important for every organisation to foster a culture of empathy and inclusion and are incredibly proud of the Stanton House Empathy Series.
We tackle topics such as mental health & loneliness, structural racism, neurodiversity, LGBTQIA+, anxiety and the menopause - to name a few!
After sharing factual information about each topic, a number of brave colleagues share their lived experience. Heartfelt, emotional and raw stories have led to an openness and understanding amongst our colleagues, improving communication and empathy across our teams. With our insight paper we hope, business leaders, hiring managers and talent partners will gain some deeper insight and practical suggestions for developing empathy across their teams too.

The Stanton House Empathy Series

Diversity & Inclusion

At Stanton House we believe diverse teams perform best, and that companies are at their most competitive when they provide an inclusive environment that wholly celebrates uniqueness and well-being.Ensuring that your workforce is diverse and that your workplace is inclusive isn’t just a question of morality. The research is clear, diversity and inclusion are inextricably linked to business performance and employee engagement and retention. Our internal D&I committee is dedicated to driving change at Stanton House, and we regularly partner with diversity and inclusion experts to bring our customers insight, advice and guidance. Often, what is needed, however, is a wide cultural change that takes a lot of planning, time and commitment. We are here to help and are always happy to share our own learning.

As a recruitment firm we don’t believe that there is just one intervention or change that you can implement to ensure that your hiring processes are inclusive. There are many! But if you get this right, it will lead to a more diverse workforce, which will positively impact your bottom line.
You are likely to go on a journey, identifying quick wins at first, and then identifying initiatives that will enable a wider cultural shift. There are so many considerations when you analyse the applicant journey through the lens of different minority groups.
To help get you started, check out our Inclusive Hiring Top Tips, where we share a few things to think about when considering disability, gender, LGBTQIA+, neurodiversity and race.
