Role: ERP Consultant
Location: Hybrid (2–3 days in Central London) Contract: Interim (Initial 1-2 month engagement, potential extension into implementation phase Day Rate: £700–£900per day Outside IR35 We are currently working with a PE backed media business seeking a high-calibre ERP Consultant to guide a strategic ERP selection and scoping engagement, with a particular focus on AI-enabled ERP solutions. Operating at the forefront of digital transformation, the organisation is evaluating two potential ERP platforms and requires an experienced advisor to shape decision-making, define success criteria, and navigate the complexities of early-stage ERP adoption and implementation. The Opportunity This is a front-end, advisory-led role initially, ideal for a consultant who thrives in ambiguous environments and can combine technical ERP expertise with commercial and operational insight. You will act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, bridging business, finance, and data teams.
Key Focus Areas
Lead ERP selection and evaluation, advising on solution fit, risks, and trade-offs
Shape scoping, discovery, and KPI frameworks to underpin decision-making
Provide expert guidance on data structures, governance, and integration considerations
Translate between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment
Identify early-stage risks and define a clear pathway into implementation
What We’re Looking For
Proven track record in ERP advisory and selection engagements within small-cap businesses (<£75m T/O)
Strong understanding of modern ERP ecosystems, ideally including AI-enabled platforms
Private Equity backed business experience ideal
Deep appreciation of data architecture and ERP integration challenges
Credibility operating at senior stakeholder level, with the ability to challenge and influence
Blend of technical fluency and business insight (finance and/or operations experience advantageous)
