Overview
We are working with a global fiduciary, corporate services, and trust administration firm undergoing significant growth through strategic acquisitions. As part of their systems integration programme, they are seeking a Data Project Manager to lead and coordinate the migration of acquired business data onto their central NavOne platform (Microsoft Dynamics Business Central 365).
This pivotal role will oversee the end-to-end planning, execution, and governance of data migration projects, focusing on financial management, billing, time recording, and core operational data. You will serve as the bridge between technical teams, business stakeholders, and acquisition contacts, ensuring data quality, stakeholder alignment, and on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the project lead for data migration workstreams, ensuring milestones, timelines, and deliverables are clearly defined and met.
- Collaborate with internal business leads, IT teams, and external acquisition contacts to gather and refine data and reporting requirements.
- Lead stakeholder engagement activities, including briefings, working sessions, and sign-offs.
- Facilitate governance processes and ensure adherence to data privacy, compliance, and audit standards.
Data Governance & Quality
- Define and enforce data governance standards, including data ownership, mapping traceability, and reconciliation protocols.
- Maintain detailed documentation of data lineage, transformation logic, validation steps, and issue resolution.
- Coordinate testing and quality assurance phases to verify integrity of migrated data.
Analysis & Execution
- Understand and interpret legacy data structures and business rules to support mapping and migration.
- Oversee and support the cleansing, transformation, and preparation of data for import into NavOne.
- Manage and validate reconciliation efforts post-migration to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Escalate and resolve complex data or system issues in collaboration with internal and external teams.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience managing data migration or integration projects, ideally in a post-acquisition or financial systems context.
- Deep understanding of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central 365 (NavOne experience is a strong advantage).
- Strong grasp of financial data, with experience across billing, time recording, and general ledger modules.
- Familiarity with data governance practices, audit trail documentation, and compliance in regulated environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills - able to translate technical challenges for business users and vice versa.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, lookups).
- Ability to lead across distributed teams and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Desirable Experience
- Experience with ERP/financial platforms such as NavOne, or in the fiduciary/trust services domain.
- Background in corporate mergers or post-acquisition integration.
- Exposure to SQL or data querying tools to support deeper analysis.
- Understanding of data security, compliance, and GDPR in the context of financial data.
