We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Finance to join a PE backed, growth-focused organisation with the Ed tech sector. This senior leadership role will be pivotal in driving financial planning, reporting, and performance management across the business, supporting long-term sustainable growth and operational excellence.

The successful candidate will lead budgeting and forecasting, develop robust financial models to support business initiatives, and deliver insightful performance reporting to executive leadership. You will optimise financial operations, manage revenue recognition, and provide key financial insights to guide strategic decisions.

As a core member of the senior leadership team, you will champion financial discipline, embed transformation initiatives, and foster a high-performance culture aligned with the organisation's values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead comprehensive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term scenario modeling.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate new business opportunities and revenue structures.
  • Deliver timely, clear financial performance dashboards and business intelligence reports.
  • Monitor profitability at program and partner levels, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Manage revenue recognition, cash flow optimisation, and contractual revenue arrangements.
  • Provide financial insights to support pricing, expansion, technology investment, and potential M&A activities.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and audit requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align financial objectives with operational goals.
  • Lead and develop finance teams, promoting transparency, engagement, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally with exposure to OPM, EdTech, SaaS, or services with revenue-sharing models.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and reporting skills (Excel, Power BI, or similar).
  • Deep understanding of revenue dynamics, customer acquisition cost (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), and cost accounting.
  • Experience with CRM or ERP platforms is a plus.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and integrity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-oriented, proactive, and able to work under pressure.
  • Commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.

If you feel your experience matches the criteria above, we'd love to hear from you. Due to a high volume of applications, we may only be able to respond to shortlisted candidates
