Job Title:
Payroll Project Manager

Role: Payroll Project Manager

Contract length: 6-month contract outside IR35

Day rate: £550-£600 per day

Workstyle: Predominantly Remote

Location: London

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the re-planning and turnaround of critical payroll projects while ensuring compliance with payroll regulations and designing innovative payroll systems. This role requires expertise in managing payroll projects within fast-paced, private equity-backed environments, as well as hands-on experience with ADP Payroll adoption projects. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the re-planning and turnaround of critical payroll projects.
  • Ensure all payroll processes comply with relevant regulations.
  • Design and implement new payroll systems to enhance efficiency.
  • Lead ADP Payroll adoption projects successfully.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Lead and motivate project teams to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Implement change management strategies to facilitate project success.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in payroll processes.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in managing payroll projects within private equity-backed organizations.
  • Extensive experience with ADP Payroll adoption projects.
  • Strong strategic thinking and project management skills.
  • Excellent risk management and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership and effective communication ability.
  • Experience in change management and resource management.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) are advantageous.
