Financial Controller

Stanton House are supporting a fast-growing, consumer business on the search for a Financial Controller to join their lean, dynamic finance team.

This is a key role reporting directly to the Head of Finance, providing technical expertise, oversight of group consolidation, and support for senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the monthly close cycle, ensuring accurate reporting
• Be responsible for monthly balance sheet and cashflow reporting
• Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards, including UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Plan for and coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit and manage the relationship with external tax advisors who support in preparing the businesses annual tax returns.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and support external audits.
• Drive improvements in processes, systems, and reporting across the finance function.
• Collaborate with operational teams to provide commercial insight and support decision-making.

Candidate Profile:

• ACA from a top ten practice
• Experience within FMCG, product-based, or consumer-focused businesses.
• Hands-on experience with consolidation, reporting, and audits.
• Excellent communication skills, able to influence senior stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, PE-backed environment with international exposure.
