SAP S/4 Implementation Architect

My client a prestigious organisation are seeking a highly experienced SAP S/4 Implementation Architect to conduct a comprehensive X-Ray and diagnostic assessment of an SAP environment, identifying overall system health, key issues, and opportunities for improvement. The role will be on an interim basis for 2 days a week. This would slot nicely into a candidate who is seeking fractional work to further supplement their portfolio.

The role is available fully remote.

Responsibilities

• Assess the target technical architecture for robustness and scalability.
• Review customisations by process area to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Analyse system performance and identify bottlenecks.
• Provide clear recommendations on design and configuration enhancements.
• Review and validate end-to-end test plans for coverage and effectiveness.

Required Expertise & Skill set

• Extensive technology experience with significant exposure in SAP solution and enterprise architecture roles.
• Proven experience in large-scale SAP programs, including system integration, migration, and cloud adoption.
• Deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, ECC, RISE, SAP Fiori, SAP BTP, and best-of-breed edge systems including OMS+.
• Proficiency in SAP integration (PI/PO, CPI, API management).
• Hands-on expertise in customising and configuring ERP systems while safeguarding core system integrity.
• Strong understanding of SAP discrete manufacturing solutions and configuration.
• Experience architecting internal ERP module integrations and external integrations with CRM, SCM, and third-party applications (via APIs and middleware).
• Ability to design and manage ERP systems across on-premise and cloud infrastructures, including knowledge of server, network, and cloud deployment models.
• Solid understanding of ERP system capacity management and the design of distributed architectures that can scale and perform to meet business needs.
