Job Title:
International Financial Controller - London

I’m partnering with a high-growth, internationally operating business to appoint an International Financial Controller into their Group Finance team. This is a pivotal leadership role, offering real ownership across a complex, multi-entity global structure.

Based in London, you’ll take responsibility for financial control and reporting across 40+ international entities, playing a key role in strengthening governance, driving consistency, and supporting the business’s continued global expansion.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong, commercially minded finance leader who enjoys operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment and working closely with senior stakeholders.

The Role

You’ll lead the international financial control agenda, ensuring accurate reporting, robust controls, and compliance across all jurisdictions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Owning the monthly, quarterly, and annual close for international entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Consolidating multi-jurisdictional results in line with Group accounting policies and IFRS
  • Supporting Group consolidated accounts and audit processes
  • Ensuring statutory compliance, local filings, and audit delivery across all regions
  • Acting as a key point of contact for external auditors and advisors
  • Reviewing and challenging management accounts and balance sheet integrity
  • Driving process improvement, automation, and consistency across accounting practices
  • Supporting ERP and reporting system implementation and optimisation
  • Partnering with and mentoring local finance teams internationally
  • Supporting the Group Financial Controller on strategic and transformation projects

About You

  • Qualified accountant (ACA) from the big 4
  • 5+ years’ post-qualification experience within an international, multi-entity environment
  • Strong background in audit, consolidation, and statutory reporting
  • Deep understanding of IFRS and interpreting new accounting standards
  • Proven experience managing finance operations across multiple jurisdictions
  • ERP exposure (NetSuite, SAP, or similar) highly desirable
  • Confident leader with the ability to influence across geographies and seniority levels
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working at pace

Why This Role?

This is a genuine opportunity to step into a high-impact, visible role within a business that values strong financial governance and is investing in its finance function as it scales internationally. You’ll have the chance to shape processes, influence systems, and work closely with senior leadership.

If you’re an experienced International or Group Financial Controller looking for your next challenge, I’d love to share more details.
