Financial Controller

Finance Controller required for an international professional services organisation (Hybrid – London)

 

Salary - up to £80,000 (Depending on experience) + benefits/package

 

We are partnering with a growing, international professional services organisation that supports businesses across a range of advisory and consulting services. The organisation operates across multiple international entities and continues to invest in strengthening its finance function to support ongoing growth and increasing operational complexity.

 

As Finance Controller, you will take ownership of the group’s financial operations, overseeing accounting, reporting, budgeting, compliance, and process improvement across several international entities. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will manage a small finance team of 3 and play a key role in improving systems, controls, and financial visibility across the group.

 

This role is well suited to a technically strong, hands-on accountant who enjoys working in SME-style environment and wants to make a tangible impact within an international business.

 

Key Requirements:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
• Experience in management and statutory accounting within multi-entity or international environments
• Strong knowledge of revenue recognition, balance sheet control, and financial reporting
• Experience with multi-currency accounting, FX, and intercompany reconciliations
• Background in professional services or project-based revenue environments preferred
• Comfortable operating in a hands-on role and driving improvements in evolving finance functions
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with senior stakeholders

 

Desirable:

• Experience with ERP or finance system implementation / improvement
• Exposure to Salesforce or CRM-finance integration
• French language skills

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Full ownership of day-to-day accounting operations and financial controls across multiple international entities
• Delivery of accurate management accounts and consolidated reporting to tight deadlines
• Oversight of VAT, payroll, statutory compliance, and year-end audit processes
• Ownership of revenue recognition processes, including WIP and accrued income
• Management of FX accounting, intercompany balances, and balance sheet integrity
• Introduction and ongoing management of budgeting and forecasting processes
• Ownership of finance systems and process improvement initiatives, including expense management and timesheet tracking
• Line management, mentoring, and development of a small finance team
