Our client, a professional services business is seeking an experienced Programme Director to lead a portfolio of high-impact strategic transformation initiatives within its Regulatory Services division

This role sits within a central change and transformation model and is a critical part of delivering the organisation’s long-term transformation strategy. This is a newly created role operating in a complex, senior stakeholder environment and will suit someone comfortable leading change with authority, pragmatism, and resilience.

You will take ownership of four strategic initiatives, each at different stages of maturity, all with strong business transformation elements. The programmes focus on digitisation, AI enablement, and the transformation of core regulatory capabilities, with potential to unlock wider commercial opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as accountable Programme Director for a portfolio of strategic initiatives within Regulatory Services

  • Lead initiatives from early concept through to business case development, mobilisation, and delivery governance

  • Maintain a clear, end-to-end view of scope, dependencies, risks, benefits, and outcomes

  • Work closely with technology, data, and subject-matter experts to translate business opportunity into executable programmes

Candidate Profile

  • ​​​Proven experience as a Programme Director leading multiple, complex transformation initiatives end-to-end, from early concept and business case through to delivery governance
  • Strong track record of delivering business and technology-enabled change in regulated, complex environments (e.g. regulatory services, life sciences, medical devices, or similar)

  • Demonstrable experience building robust business cases, including options analysis, financial modelling, benefits realisation, and delivery roadmaps

  • Exceptional senior stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge sponsors and executives constructively and operate effectively in ambiguous or resistant environments

  • Experience leading programmes involving digitisation, data, and/or AI-enabled capabilities, working closely with technology, data, and subject-matter experts
