📍 Hybrid – 3 days per week in the office

🚀 Role Overview

As part of a major finance transformation within the media industry, this organisation is implementing a new finance ERP platform, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. This role will take full ownership of finance data quality and migration readiness, ensuring that 20 years of legacy finance data is assessed, cleansed, governed, and successfully migrated.

You’ll act as the single point of accountability for finance data quality, working closely with finance stakeholders and system implementation partners in a lean BAU environment. The role focuses on critical finance data domains including Accounts Payable, invoices, suppliers, customers, and finance master data.

Prior Business Central experience is not essential — strong finance ERP data expertise is key.

🧩 Key Responsibilities

Finance Data Quality & Governance

• Act as Data Quality Lead across core finance domains (AP, invoices, suppliers, customers, chart of accounts)
• Profile and assess 20 years of legacy finance data, identifying integrity issues
• Define and enforce data quality standards, validation rules, and reconciliation controls
• Lead data cleansing, remediation, and rationalisation activities
• Ensure finance data supports operational, reporting, and compliance requirements

Data Migration & Readiness

• Own finance data readiness for ERP implementation and migration cycles
• Design and manage data staging environments
• Hands-on SQL Server extraction, validation, and reconciliation
• Manage migration cycles, version control, and finance sign-off
• Deliver migrations pragmatically without a dedicated migration tool

Finance Systems & Transformation

• Support the implementation of a new finance ERP system
• Partner with AP, AR, and GL stakeholders
• Balance transformation delivery alongside BAU constraints

Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as the bridge between finance and technical teams
• Lead data validation and sign-off sessions
• Clearly communicate data risks and data quality outcomes

🛠 Skills & Experience

Essential

• Proven experience in finance data quality, migration, or finance systems roles
• Hands-on experience with AP, invoice, supplier, customer, and master data
• Strong understanding of finance ERP data models and processes
• Hands-on SQL Server experience
• Experience working with large, complex legacy finance datasets
• Comfortable operating independently with end-to-end ownership

Desirable

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience
• Finance transformation background
• Experience working in media or creative environments
