Overview
Stanton House is working with a leading media business to hire into their Finance Analytics team. You will work on high-impact, often ambiguous business questions, using data to shape insights and drive commercial decisions. This team sits at the intersection of Finance, Commercial and Data, using analytics to support key business decisions and improve performance across revenue, cost and customer outcomes.
You’ll work on complex, high-impact business questions, using data to generate insights and support commercial decisions. This involves shaping problems, analysing data from multiple sources, and delivering clear, actionable recommendations to stakeholders. You’ll also help prioritise high-value work, improve ways of working through automation and best practice, and make complex analysis accessible and impactful across the business

Responsibilities:
- Partnering with stakeholders to define problems and translate them into analytical approaches
- Analysing data (e.g. SQL, Excel, BI tools) to identify key drivers of performance
- Delivering clear, actionable recommendations to non-technical audiences
- Supporting improvements in processes through automation, standardisation, and best practice
- Experience using data or analysis to inform business decisions
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with ambiguity
- Commercial awareness and understanding of performance drivers
- Clear communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail and a proactive mindset
- Experience in analytics, finance, consulting or similar roles
- Knowledge of SQL, Python, R, or BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
- Experience working with complex datasets or building dashboards
- Exposure to automation or AI-driven analysis
