We are partnering with a fast-growing organisation within the financial services sector to recruit a Finance Manager into a newly created role. Reporting into the Head of Finance, this position has been established to increase capability across financial reporting, management information, forecasting and finance transformation activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking for a broad role that combines technical accounting, commercial finance, FP&A and process improvement within an evolving finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of statutory accounts and year-end reporting activities.
- Assist with technical accounting matters and accounting policy research.
- Produce monthly management information and performance reporting packs.
- Deliver insightful analysis and commentary to support business decision-making.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes.
- Develop financial models and scenario analysis to improve forward-looking decision support.
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to gather, challenge and refine planning assumptions.
- Identify opportunities to streamline manual processes and improve reporting efficiency.
- Contribute to finance transformation and process improvement initiatives.
- Support the development of scalable reporting, forecasting and consolidation processes.
About You
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Experience within Financial Services, FinTech, Payments or a regulated environment.
- Strong grounding in financial reporting and accounting principles.
- Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical capability.
- Comfortable working within a broad, hands-on finance role.
- Able to identify process inefficiencies and implement practical improvements.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable Experience
- FP&A, forecasting or business planning experience.
- Big 4 or practice-trained background.
- Experience supporting finance transformation or change projects.
- Exposure to management reporting, financial modelling and business partnering.
