Group Technical Accountant (Hybrid - London)

£75,000 - £85,000 + bonus + benefits

Office location: London (hybrid working)

Stanton House are partnering with a highly successful international group during an exciting period of growth, supporting their search for a Group Technical Accountant to join the Group Reporting & Accounting team. This is a high-impact role with exposure to technical accounting, M&A, and strategic finance initiatives across the group.

You will provide technical accounting support on group close, consolidations, and reorganisations, while leading on new accounting standards (e.g. IFRS 18) and supporting M&A activity. The role also offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally across tax, treasury, and legal, as well as to deliver technical training to the wider finance function.

Key Requirements:

• ACA/ACCA qualified (Top 6 audit firm preferred)
• 2-3 years PQE in financial reporting, ideally in a large listed environment
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS (consolidation, multi-currency, intercompany)
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Organised, detail-focused, and able to deliver under tight deadlines
• Oracle ERP experience desirable

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical accounting support during group and statutory close processes
• Prepare valuations and technical memos (IAS 38, IAS 36, IFRS 2)
• Collaborate on group reorganisations, consolidations, and M&A activity
• Lead the implementation of new accounting standards (e.g. IFRS 18)
• Partner with tax, treasury, and legal on accounting-related initiatives
• Improve intercompany accounting and mitigate FX exposures
• Deliver technical accounting training across the finance function
