Job Title:
Chief Financial Officer

Chief Financial Officer - Buy & Build Platform | Cybersecurity Sector
Location: Remote with travel
Compensation: Competitive + Equity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially driven and strategically minded Chief Financial Officer to join a newly launched buy and build platform in the Cybersecurity sector. Backed by a successful private equity fund with a proven track record, the business is set to acquire and scale a group of complementary businesses across the UK and internationally.

With plans to complete over 30 acquisitions in the next five years, the aim is to build a market-leading group. This is a rare chance to shape a high-growth, private equity-backed business from inception and play a critical role in its strategic direction and execution.

The Opportunity:
As CFO, you will take full ownership of the finance function from day one, overseeing everything from systems, reporting and compliance to M&A, integration planning and investor relations. You'll also take on broad operational responsibilities to deliver the growth strategy, making this an exciting opporunity for someone who is highly motivated to build a business.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in technology-led professional services; ideally cyber, but alternatively in people-based businesses with a strong understanding of key metrics such as utilisation, margin, and time tracking.
  • Proven M&A experience across the full deal lifecycle, from pre-deal assessment to acquisition and integration, ideally within industry, though advisory backgrounds will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience leading transformation projects, including implementation of new systems or processes.
  • Operational and strategic expertise, with a clear track record of commercial leadership beyond financial control.
  • Experience in both smaller and larger businesses, with the flexibility to be hands-on and manage broader responsibilities; US-listed environment experience is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to adapt style and approach to different stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership capability, with a track record of building and managing lean, effective teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the financial strategy to support rapid growth and international expansion
  • Build best-in-class financial processes, controls, and systems
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and analysis
  • Manage M&A activity, including due diligence, valuation and integration
  • Oversee preparation of financial reporting, board packs and fund reporting
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and risk management frameworks
  • Build and develop a high-calibre finance team aligned with the growth trajectory

If you meet the above criteria, please apply below. Due to a high number of applicants, we shall be unable to respond to all unsuccessful individuals.
