Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and commercially driven Head of FP&A to join a fast-moving, dynamic PE-backed organisation. This is a high-visibility, high-impact leadership role, reporting to the CFO, and is central to financial planning, performance reporting, and strategic insight. The successful candidate will combine strategic leadership with hands-on technical capability, owning forecasting, board reporting, and BI/analytical oversight while managing a small FP&A and BI team.

This is an opportunity to operate at both board level and in detailed analytical execution, supporting key decisions in a period of growth and international expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data & Analytics: Oversee Power BI reporting suite and analytical tools, working with data engineering, BI developers, and internal users to drive improved insight and analytical capability.
  • Management Accounts: Own, alongside the FP&A analyst, the group management accounts consolidation and month-end review process.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead end-to-end budget, long-term plan (LTP), and quarterly reforecast cycles, partnering closely with the CEO and CFO to consolidate the Group position and outputs.
  • Performance Reporting: Produce finance performance decks and board reports, incorporating financial outputs, market/competitor insights, network performance, customer behaviour, and investment returns assessments.
  • Financial Modelling: Own and continuously develop financial consolidation and budget models covering all financial and non-financial metrics across P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow for multiple countries.
  • Private Equity Submissions: Prepare investor submissions and performance analysis, serving as a key interface with the PE team for ongoing and ad-hoc analysis.
  • Performance Review Leadership: Lead weekly network reviews, monthly close meetings, and quarterly forecast sessions, delivering clear, insightful messages and constructive challenge.
  • Roadmap Leadership: Drive development of FP&A and reporting infrastructure, delivering continuous improvement and optimising existing processes.
  • Senior Stakeholder Partnering: Act as a key partner to the CEO, CFO, and investors, delivering confident financial reporting while challenging and improving performance analysis.
  • Team Development: Lead and mentor FP&A Analyst and BI Developer, managing workloads and ensuring high-quality delivery.

Candidate Profile

  • Strong expertise in management accounts, variance analysis, and cashflow.
  • Advanced financial modelling capability: three-statement, scenario analysis, cashflow, IRR, and ad-hoc analysis.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong Power BI experience (data modelling, DAX, dashboard development).
  • Ability to translate operational KPIs into actionable financial insight and recommendations.
  • Proven experience engaging and presenting to senior stakeholders, including CEOs, CFOs, boards, and private equity representatives.
  • Commercially astute, critical thinker, and problem solver.
  • Results-oriented, accountable, and capable of delivering under pressure.
  • Experienced in leading small, high-performing teams with strong delegation and organisational skills.
  • Able to operate strategically while remaining hands-on when required.

Qualifications

  • Academic qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related business field.
  • Professional qualification preferred (ACMA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Experience in businesses with revenue exceeding £30m.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and 20% discretionary annual bonus.
  • Virtual private healthcare access for you and your family.
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • Paid volunteering day and paid moving day.
  • Life insurance at 3x annual salary from day one.
  • Pension scheme access following successful three-month employment.
  • Ongoing training and study support.
  • Opportunity to enrol in salary sacrifice EV scheme and cycle-to-work scheme.
  • Access to PerkPal platform, quarterly company events, free snacks & drinks.
