Commercial Finance Manager

A senior commercial finance role supporting large-scale healthcare contracts with real operational and commercial influence.

The Opportunity 

This is a hands-on Commercial Finance Manager role supporting Business and Regional Directors across a complex healthcare portfolio. You will be embedded on-site, acting as the key finance partner for operational leaders, with responsibility for commercial decision-making, financial performance, control, and contract support.

You will own end-to-end financial management for contracts with revenues of up to £40m, lead a small on-site finance team, and play a key role in driving margin improvement, cash collection, and profitable growth.

Key Focus Areas

• Commercial partnering with operational and contract leaders
• Management accounts, forecasting and budgeting with full ownership of month-end
• Financial control, compliance and robust on-site governance
• Contract interpretation, pricing of variations and commercial negotiations with Trusts
• Supporting revenue growth, margin improvement and cost control initiatives
• Cash management, billing accuracy and debt collection
• Leadership and development of a site-based finance team

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong post-qualification experience
• Proven commercial finance experience in contract-led or complex service environments
• Confident communicator able to influence, challenge and support senior stakeholders
• Strong Excel and financial modelling capability
• Experience in healthcare, outsourcing, or complex contracts is advantageous
