Role: Interim Finance Process Analyst / Manager
Location: Hybrid role with travel as and when required to a number of locations across the UK Contract: 6 months initially (2 year programme) Day Rate: £500-£600pd Outside IR35 Start: ASAP (June start required)
About the Role We are supporting a major organisation undertaking a large‑scale SAP transformation, consolidating multiple legacy systems into a single, standardised SAP platform. They are looking for an experienced Finance Process Analyst / Manager to join the core Finance team and play a key role in the process validation and fit‑to‑standard phase of the programme. This role is not about deep SAP configuration expertise. Instead, the focus is on validating, shaping, and aligning end‑to‑end finance processes, working closely with Process Owners, SMEs, and finance leadership to define future ways of working that will scale across the organisation. The programme is currently using three business units as case studies, which will form the blueprint for wider rollout, making this a high‑impact opportunity to influence enterprise‑wide process design.
Key Responsibilities
Lead validation of current (“as‑is”) finance processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment across multiple business units
Support fit‑to‑standard workshops, aligning business processes to standard SAP approaches rather than custom design
Partner with Process Owners, SMEs, and transformation teams to define scalable, standardised “to‑be” processes
Facilitate workshops driving engagement, clarity, and alignment across stakeholders
Ensure strong linkage between process design, data readiness, and system configuration
Support process mapping, documentation, and validation activities across pilot business units
Work collaboratively within the wider transformation team to ensure consistent delivery across workstreams
Key Requirements
Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) with a strong foundation in finance operations
Background in manufacturing, heavy industry, or construction environments (essential)
Strong finance Business / Process Analyst experience as part of wider finance transformation, process improvement, or ERP‑led programmes
Strong knowledge of all end‑to‑end finance processes
Experience working in multi‑site or complex operational businesses
Comfortable leading workshops, challenging stakeholders, and driving outcomes
Hands‑on, delivery‑focused individual – a true “doer” who can operate at pace
Desirable Experience
Exposure to SAP programmes or fit‑to‑standard methodologies (preferred but not essential)
Experience supporting large‑scale system consolidation or standardisation programmes
Understanding of procurement processes alongside finance
If you are a hands‑on Finance Process Analyst / Manager with strong functional expertise and experience in complex, operational businesses, this is an excellent opportunity to shape a large‑scale transformation programme. Apply now to discuss further details.
