Job Title:
Interim Group Finance Manager

Company

Stanton House is partnering with a private equity-backed global software business to appoint an Interim Group Finance Manager to support a critical year-end audit and financial reporting cycle.

The business operates across multiple international markets and is currently managing a period of audit activity alongside wider finance transformation initiatives, ERP implementation and ongoing operational change.

This is an opportunity to join a well-established organisation in a key delivery-focused assignment with clear objectives and senior stakeholder exposure.

Role

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will take ownership of the Group external audit process for a September year-end, ensuring all audit deliverables are coordinated and delivered against tight reporting deadlines.

This is a hands-on assignment requiring strong audit leadership, financial reporting expertise and the ability to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will act as the central point of coordination between Group Finance, overseas finance teams, external auditors and specialist finance functions.

The initial assignment is expected to run for three months from October 2026, with potential for a short extension. The role can be performed primarily remotely, with occasional travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Group external audit from planning through to completion.
• Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors and internal finance stakeholders.
• Drive audit deliverables and ensure adherence to key milestones and reporting deadlines.
• Manage audit requests, information gathering and issue resolution across multiple teams.
• Support the preparation, review and completion of Group financial statements and related disclosures.
• Assist with statutory accounts and post-audit reporting requirements.
• Coordinate audit activity across international operations, including overseas finance teams and local auditors.
• Monitor progress against the audit timetable and escalate risks where necessary.
• Work closely with senior finance leadership to resolve technical accounting matters.
• Support areas of accounting judgement, including IFRS 15 revenue recognition considerations.
• Collaborate with Revenue Assurance, Tax, Treasury and wider Finance teams to ensure timely delivery of information.
• Ensure overseas audit workstreams are completed in line with Group reporting requirements.
• Help deliver audit completion ahead of lender reporting deadlines and year-end reporting commitments.

Requirements

Essential

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Approximately 5+ years PQE.
• Significant experience within Group Finance, Financial Reporting or External Audit environments.
• Proven track record leading or managing year-end external audit processes.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Group reporting requirements.
• Experience preparing, reviewing or auditing consolidated financial statements.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, workstreams and competing deadlines.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capability.
• Comfortable operating autonomously within a fast-paced environment.

Desired

• Software, SaaS, technology or telecoms sector experience.
• Strong understanding of IFRS 15 and revenue recognition.
• Experience within private equity-backed, listed or multinational organisations.
• Exposure to businesses undergoing transformation, finance change or ERP implementation.
• Previous interim or contract experience.
• Experience working within international group structures and coordinating overseas audits.

If you meet the above criteria and are available for an October 2026 start, we would welcome your application. Due to the expected level of interest, only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
