Embedded Security Research Engineer


Security Researcher | Seed Security Product | SF or Remote | $200K* + Equity

Stanton House is partnered with an industry-lauded seed startup, to identify a Security Researcher, who will be responsible for performing novel security attacks on complex firmware systems. This will be vital work in helping the founders and the rest of the team shape and drive the product forward. This role will involve authentic freedom to choose research directions and genuinely propel innovation, rather than provide piecemeal iteration.

Requirements:
~Proficient in C, C++, or Rust programming languages
~Demonstrated expertise in reverse engineering and penetration testing bare metal or real-time operating systems (e.g., Zephyr, FreeRTOS, VxWorks, QNX, ThreadX, etc.) on embedded CPU architectures (e.g., ARM32, MIPS, PowerPC, TriCore, RISC-V, etc.)."
~Hands-on experience with firmware analysis, including use of at least one of Ghidra, Binary Ninja, or IDA Pro
~US Citizen or Green Card Holder
