Job - Portfolio Management Lead, Permanent role
Location - north London hybrid (3 days in the office)
Salary - £75 000 - £90 000 +benefits
Overview:
Stanton house is working with a global FMCG business which is currently going through a big transformation. They are looking for a Portfolio Management Lead to manage a pipeline of transformation initiatives to ensure alignment with strategic business objectives. Drive cross-functional coordination, governance, and resource planning to deliver successful market-wide change programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the portfolio team and monitor progress against KPIs to keep projects on track.
- Coordinate market-wide transformation efforts across business functions to align with strategic priorities.
- Collaborate with regional and global transformation leaders to integrate and execute key programs locally.
- Develop and maintain a multi-year transformation roadmap, ensuring alignment with functional teams and governance processes.
- Oversee all active programs and projects, managing risk escalation, change control, and governance effectiveness.
- Plan capacity and resource allocation to support transformation initiatives, partnering with global teams on team mobilisation.
- Serve as a primary liaison for stakeholders at all levels, escalating issues and fostering buy-in across internal teams and external partners.
- Ensure transformation projects deliver maximum return on investment and strategic alignment.
- Identify and manage dependencies across projects, promoting cross-team coordination.
- Deliver accurate, insightful reporting to senior leadership and governance forums, highlighting key actions and decisions.
- Bring external best practices and continuous improvement mindset to portfolio management.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven ability to lead and optimise program and project teams, effectively managing transformation initiatives and communicating complex processes in a clear, engaging way. Experienced in designing project plans and managing budgets.
- Skilled at collaborating with PMO and project delivery leaders to prioritize initiatives that align with overall business strategy.
- Strong relationship-building skills in matrixed environments, with the ability to drive alignment across diverse and complex stakeholder groups. Excellent written and verbal communication, simplifying complex concepts for various audiences.
- Proactive in monitoring project performance, adjusting priorities, and driving continuous improvement and adoption of best practices.
- Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable working in ambiguous situations. Collaborative, customer-focused, and a role model for new ways of working and behaviours.
