We are supporting a recently carved-out, private equity-backed SaaS business operating in a dynamic, high-growth market. The business is fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and currently in the process of building structure and discipline across its finance function. This role offers the opportunity to play a pivotal part in shaping financial planning and analysis within an evolving environment.
The Interim FP&A Director will take ownership of building robust financial planning, forecasting, and reporting capabilities from the ground up. Operating with minimal support and no direct reports initially, this individual will be expected to "stand on their own two feet," driving clarity, discipline, and insight in a business that is scaling rapidly but remains unstructured.
Lead the development of the FY25 P&L and budget, and deliver the FY26 forecast and budget.
Build and refine financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis, and decision-making.
Address and resolve data integrity issues, ensuring accuracy and reliability of financial information across systems.
Develop clear, understandable reporting packs and models for both management and private equity stakeholders.
Partner with leadership to drive commercial insight, particularly around subscription models, revenue recognition, and fixed-price/fixed-scope projects.
Support the evolution of financial processes, controls, and reporting structures in a rapidly changing environment.
Act as the trusted FP&A leader to the CFO and PE sponsors, providing clear recommendations and insights.
Proven experience as an FP&A Director / Senior Finance Leader, ideally in SaaS, software, or subscription-based businesses.
Strong technical grounding in revenue recognition, subscription models, and fixed-price/fixed-scope project accounting.
Big 4 or similar background advantageous, with the ability to combine technical rigour with commercial insight.
Exceptional Excel financial modelling skills; able to build robust, transparent, and flexible models.
Hands-on, pragmatic, and comfortable in an unstructured, fast-paced, carve-out/PE-backed environment.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear, concise, and impactful way.
Self-starter, resilient, and comfortable working without a team in place initially.
