Job Title: Head of Corporate Tax
Location: Zone 1, London, 4 days a week in the office.
Salary: £110,000-£120,000
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Head of Corporate Tax to take full ownership of a rapidly expanding corporate tax team. This is a senior advisory-focused role, offering the opportunity to lead high-value client engagements, grow a specialist practice, and mentor a talented team.
As Head of Corporate Tax, you will work closely with senior leadership to deliver complex advisory projects, particularly in corporate reconstructions, reorganisations, and structuring for family-owned and managed businesses. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, building strong relationships and providing strategic tax guidance that aligns with their business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the corporate tax team, providing mentorship and fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
- Manage multiple client projects, ensuring delivery with technical precision and commercial awareness.
- Deliver advisory services in corporate restructuring, group planning, and specialist tax strategies.
- Onboard new clients and support business development by identifying additional advisory opportunities.
- Review and oversee technical deliverables, ensuring compliance and quality standards are met.
- Keep up to date with relevant tax legislation and maintain technical expertise.
Skills & Experience Required
- Significant experience in corporate tax advisory, especially reconstructions and reorganisations.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and build strong client relationships at senior levels.
- Experience managing and mentoring a small team, with the ability to grow the practice.
- CTA qualification (essential); commercial understanding and advisory mindset critical.
- Experience working with family-owned and managed businesses preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation and advisory best practices.
