Job Title:
Product Manager, AI Platform | AI Infrastructure Startup | San Francisco | 250K + Equity
About the opportunity
We are partnering with one of the fastest-growing AI infrastructure companies in the world, building the compute, data centers, and power behind frontier AI training and inference at gigawatt scale. As the company moves up the value chain from raw compute toward a full AI platform, they are hiring a Product Manager to own the software layer that lets AI companies run their models in production.
The role
This is the product seat for the platform that sits on top of raw GPU compute. Rather than renting bare metal, the company is building everything a customer needs to actually run AI in production: model serving, inference optimization, and the developer-facing tools and pricing around it. You will own this product surface end to end, working closely with engineering on the technical core and with customers on what they need to ship faster. This is a deeply technical product role for someone who is fluent in modern inference and the realities of serving models at scale.
What you will do
- Own the product roadmap for the AI platform, spanning model serving, inference, and the developer experience around it
- Work hands-on with engineering teams to debug performance bottlenecks, analyze profiling data, and prioritize optimizations
- Translate customer workload needs into platform capabilities and clear technical requirements
- Define pricing models that align with how customers actually use the platform, while protecting healthy unit economics
- Conduct customer and competitive research to sharpen positioning against other AI platform providers
- Build the tools, documentation, and migration paths that make it easy for customers to adopt and stay
What we are looking for
- Experience as a product manager building technical, developer-facing, or platform products
- Strong fluency in modern AI inference, including model serving frameworks and the constraints of running models efficiently on GPUs
- Comfort working closely with engineering on performance and optimization, not just managing a backlog
- Commercial instinct, with the ability to design pricing and think in terms of usage and unit economics
- A track record of shipping product in fast-moving environments
What will make someone stand out
- Has shipped an inference or model-serving product to external, paying customers
- Familiarity with the competitive landscape of AI platform and inference providers
- Experience with agentic tooling or the layers being built on top of raw compute
- Background bridging deep technical work and commercial strategy
Why this role
This is a chance to own a brand-new product surface at a company scaling to meet enormous demand, defining how the next wave of AI companies run their models in production. You will be building the platform, not just selling the hardware underneath it.
