Job Title:
Product Manager, Data Centers | AI Infrastructure Startup | SF or Austin | 250K + Equity
Product Manager, Data Centers and Tooling AI Infrastructure Startup | San Francisco
About the opportunity
We are partnering with one of the fastest-growing AI infrastructure companies in the world, building the compute, data centers, and power that sit behind frontier AI training and inference at gigawatt scale. As the business scales rapidly, they are hiring a Product Manager to own the software layer that runs their hyperscale data center facilities.
The role
This is the product seat for the tools and systems that design, deliver, and operate hyperscale data centers. You will own the roadmap for the software that keeps these facilities running, from the systems that monitor power and cooling to the tools technicians use on the floor every day. You will work directly with facilities engineers, data center technicians, and operations leaders across multiple sites to turn complex operational needs into products that make those sites faster, safer, and more reliable.
What you will do
- Own the product roadmap for data center operations software, including BMS integrations, DCIM, CMDB, and asset tracking
- Build technician-facing tools such as mobile apps for inspections, work order management, and alerting
- Develop operations and planning tools covering workforce scheduling, capacity planning, and predictive maintenance
- Conduct user research with technicians, facility managers, and operations leaders to shape what gets built
- Translate operational requirements into clear technical specifications for engineering teams
- Tie your work to the metrics that matter: uptime, MTTR, equipment reliability, and operational cost
What we are looking for
- 5+ years in product management, with at least 3 years focused on operations software, facilities management, or field service applications
- Strong understanding of data center physical infrastructure such as UPS, PDUs, generators, cooling systems, BMS, and DCIM
- A track record shipping mobile-first or operational tools used by technicians and field teams
- Results tied to operational outcomes, such as reduced downtime, improved reliability, or lower operating costs
Nice to have
- A facilities engineering, MEP, or field operations background before moving into product
- Experience with predictive maintenance, IoT telemetry, or industrial monitoring products
- Familiarity with commissioning workflows or sustainability metrics
Why this role
This is a chance to build the operational backbone of some of the largest AI data centers in the world, at real gigawatt scale, with frontier AI labs as customers. The work you do directly keeps mission-critical infrastructure online.
