Overview

Salary: £80-95k (dependent on experience)

Location: West London

Hybrid: 2-3 days a week

Reports To: Head of FP&A

Responsibilities

* Lead in the analysis and accounting of Energy Revenue and Cost of Sales ensuring that the business has rigorous Gross Margin accounting practices embedded.

* Business Partnering with Commercial, Regulatory and Data Teams for collaborative and quality inputs/outputs for forecasting and regulatory submissions and audits to Ofgem/DESNZ.

* Lead on Customer Behaviour analysis in collaboration with Commercial teams for the production and monitoring of growth and portfolio dynamics.

* Lead on the production of Customer Lifetime Value metrics, along with insight, commentary and decisions support for Commercial Strategy.

* Work with the Data Team for the continuous improvement of Gross Margin data integrity, accuracy and granularity, ensuring the use of quality structured datasets to provide business insight and visibility.

* Support the preparation of forecasts, target setting, budgets and 5-year plans, to include gathering inputs through engagement with the business, reporting draft and final outcomes and commentary.

* Address ad hoc queries and decision support requests.

* Delivery of continuous improvement initiatives and various projects within the FP&A function.

What you'll need

  • 5 years experience working in Retail Energy Industry on Gross Margin.
  • 5 years modelling financial and non-financial data
  • 3 years Lead FP&A Analyst experience in a complex industry accountancy qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or equivalent with 5 years PQE.
  • High level of accounting competency and strong analytical skills
  • Highly motivated - able to lead initiative and work as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong IT skills including Advance Excel and SQL (Big Query)
  • Strong understanding of financial systems and processes
