Opportunity description

A private equity backed telecommunications service provider is looking to appoint a Head of Finance. Our client's portfolio of technology products and services gives its partners the competitive advantage to build more successful businesses

As the Head of Finance, you shall play a key role within the Commercial Finance team, responsible for managing all costs across the business and business partnering multiple budget holders and Executive team members.

This is a new role and will require an experienced individual to come in and develop cost management processes and forecasting across the business. In addition, this role will be required to educate and collaborate with multiple teams to ensure cost management is adopted across the business.

Responsibilities shall include but not be limited to;

  • Lead the development and implementation of the cost management process, including budgeting, reporting and KPIs.
  • Identify areas of opportunity for cost savings and work with budget holders to deliver these.
  • Ensure Project costs are managed correctly, measure and report ROI and ensure CAPEX allocations are correct.
  • Lead monthly review sessions with budget holders and the Leadership team.
  • Partner with MDs to manage sales commissions, including recommending changes to drive the best commercial and financial outcomes.

In order to succeed in the role;

  • Qualified accountant with proven experience in Finance Business Partnering.
  • Experience with cost management and setting up cost reporting.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting and analysing data to deliver clear insights.
  • Ability to challenge norms, ways of working and drive positive change.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence senior stakeholders and non-finance personnel.
  • Strong Leadership skills and a great team player.
