Overview:
Stanton House is partnering with a fastgrowing, private equity backed business to recruit a Senior Commercial Finance Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing finance function within a dynamic, £100m+ organisation.
The role will play a key part in driving performance through insightful analysis, robust financial control, and effective business partnering. You'll lead on budgeting, forecasting, and investment appraisal, providing clear, data-driven insights to support strategic and operational decision-making across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted finance partner, providing insight, challenge, and commercial advice to drive performance
- Deliver accurate month-end reporting and variance analysis, highlighting risks, opportunities, and key performance drivers
- Maintain strong control of headcount, labour costs, and departmental spend
- Support investment decisions and business cases through rigorous financial analysis
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning with clear ownership and accountability
- Collaborate across teams to combine financial and operational insights for better decision-making
- Produce high-quality analysis and commentary for senior leadership and board reporting
Candidate Profile
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, with strong post qualified expereicne
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting
- Strong ability to translate financial data into meaningful, actionable insights
- Highly numerate with advanced Excel and data visualisation skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Commercially astute, detail-oriented, and able to see the bigger picture
- Experience in an operational or project-based environment
