Job Title: Principal Product Security Engineer
Job Location: Chicago, IL Hybrid with 3 days per week in office
Compensation: Target base salary around $220,000 per year

This is an opportunity to join a global alternative investment firm with a collaborative, in office culture and a modern cloud first technology environment. They are looking for a senior security engineer to lead the build out of a proactive application security program and help shape security strategy across cloud and emerging AI use cases.

What You’ll Do

• Build and mature a proactive application security program, moving beyond reactive tool findings

• Partner closely with engineering to embed security into the SDLC and CI CD workflows

• Establish secure design standards and threat modeling practices for new development

• Strengthen cloud security posture across AWS and Azure and maximize value from cloud security tooling

• Own and evolve security guidance for enterprise AI adoption, acting as a security architecture partner

What You Bring

• 8 plus years of security experience with strong hands on application security engineering skills

• Demonstrated experience building or maturing an AppSec program in a less mature environment

• Working knowledge of cloud security in AWS and or Azure

• Comfort collaborating with engineers and influencing secure design decisions

• Exposure to AI security, or strong interest in owning and developing this area
