Job Title:
Interim Finance Business Partner

Stanton House is currently recruiting for an Interim Finance Business Partner to join a large Events Business in London on a 12-month Contract. This role offers a day rate of up to £550 Inside IR35. This is a hybrid role working 3 days in their London office.

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a trusted Finance Business Partner to the Global division, building strong relationships with senior management and providing clear commercial and strategic insights to influence decision-making.
  • Delivers high-quality financial reporting, analysis, and storytelling to support business performance, including ownership of P&L, balance sheet, working capital, and cash.
  • Leads budgeting, forecasting, and business planning cycles, ensuring key assumptions, risks, and opportunities are well understood and communicated.
  • Drives cost management and performance improvement through analytical reviews, KPIs, and zero-based budgeting techniques.
  • Supports business cases, acquisition and disposal activities, and cross-divisional financial initiatives, ensuring effective governance and collaboration with peers.
  • Provides accurate and timely actuals reporting with insightful commentary, maintaining integrity of financial controls and supporting audit and compliance processes.
  • Operates effectively under pressure, manages ambiguity, and delivers results independently with minimal supervision.
  • Manages, develops, and supports a direct report, ensuring clear communication, strong performance, and alignment with HR policies and team priorities.
  • Acts as a role model and contributes to a positive team culture that reflects divisional strategy and values.

To be suitable for this role you must have the following:

  • Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a solid understanding of finance processes, systems, and controls.
  • Trusted finance partner with experience working alongside management teams in global divisional environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen and confident in constructively challenging senior stakeholders.
  • Hands-on, proactive, and able to deliver results autonomously in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, reporting, and Excel.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to present insights clearly in reports and presentations.
  • Experience in leading change, process improvement, and supporting acquisitions or disposals.
